![]() Leader: Their sacrifice will be remembered their names praised for all time. Further increasing his influence with the humans. Our volunteer soldiers sacrificed themselves to create the illusion that these weapons were effective. We guided him into creating weapons supposedly to fight us. Minion: We were successfully able to manipulate an influential human via signals we sent through his cybernetic implants. ![]() Thargoid leader: Report on your mission to infiltrate the humans. Thargoid minion: We live to serve, reverent leader. Meanwhile, aboard a Thargoid ship somewhere. Now the Thargoids are mad and may come more aggressively at humanity. ![]() He tried to kill the Thargoids, he failed and died. Artificially old as hell, trying to impose their will upon an ancient alien race until they smited his ass. The analog here is like Weyland in Prometheus. Why would the Thargoids have any interest at all? You're making him too important. Salvation was a frail old man with a vendetta living way past his due date. They don't have to come back as a uber version of themselves. You know what also happens in Sci-Fi? Characters die. You're giving them human thought process. These are ancient eldritch insectoid creatures. The idea that Thargoids even know him is out of their characterization. As was stated in the article, this guy was hooked up to external medical technology and was very obviously dead. You'd think he would have mentioned using alien tech if that were the case. In fact he specifically mentioned human technology. It has never been said that Salvation used things like that. There is no known access to Guardian implants or Thargoid technology like that. Sure, but there is no precedent for this at all. Post/comment not appearing? It may have entered our AutoModerator's event horizon. Read the Subreddit's Rules and Removals Info Page before posting
